L'Allee du Chat

Winding through the narrow streets of this charming little village near Colmar, in the Alsace region of France, each lane struck me as more interesting than the last.

As an amateur woodworker, I was especially impressed by the variety and craftsmanship of the wooden doors, every one a work of art. The locals told me that some of the building timbers date back four to five hundred years.

I was especially drawn to this cobblestoned lane, where, to my surprise, a cat meandered along, posing almost on cue and became part of the picture.
