This French village square, about 60 miles east of Bordeaux, is nestled in the Dordogne River valley.   You can see that the old town well is now capped and has probably been so since the advent of indoor plumbing.

I particularly liked this spot, and visited it three times in the two days that I had the privilege and joy of being in this quaint little village.

I made many exposures; only this one had a bike in it, which couldn't have been there for more than two minutes. The composition flowed and it all came together in this France photo made at twilight. My wife and I had some delicious slow meals here in autumn when the days are a bit shorter and I finish photographing around 5:30.
